Action photographs are important to give variety to any event. Knowledge of the sport, background information and awareness of the program ensure a good variety of photographs.

Timing is critical to capture good photographs. To photograph golfers in action, a safe distance must remain between photographer and player, long lenses and a variety of aperture / shutter speed combinations are required and NEVER press the shutter until after the ball has been hit.

Interaction of players with spectators often provide interesting photographic opportunities. Knowledge of equipment and technical ability are needed to make quick adjustments for any event occasion or opportunity.

Always on the lookout for unusual shots to add variety. These type of photographs make event photography a bit more interesting and unlike expensive digital equipment readily available to all, an eye for a picture is not something you can buy off the shelf.
