PANORAMIC PHOTOGRAPHS
Borderpics specialise in producing high
quality panoramic photographs using modern digital techniques. Panoramic
photos or panoscapes as they are sometimes referred to can be created from
negatives, prints, slides or from digital images. Once transferred into
digital form, similar techniques are applied to produce stunning panoramic
photographs, each one individually hand processed and optimised to produce
the best possible result.
At Borderpics, we use panoramic techniques
regularly for general photography for several reasons; to produce wide
angle views without distortion, to generate hi-resolution digital files
for large poster size prints, or to retain natural perspective of a view
or building.
Over the coming months, the galleries will
feature an ever increasing number of panoramic photos, with the Scottish
Borders featured extensively. These panoramic views make superb prints
that can be enlarged up to 3 feet wide or more. Why buy artwork of some
distant place when the Scottish Borders can be yours to view at leisure.
We can provide framed prints at very competitive rates and remember, everything is manufactured by Borderpics ensuring quality throughout the
complete process.
Please have a look at some of the samples
below.
If you are using a dial up connection
(not ADSL) I apologise for the time taken to load these images. They are
larger than normal to retain a degree of quality.

Originally suggested by two members of the Kelso Laddies’
Association, Tom Weatherston and Gordon Little, the idea was brought
to fruition by generous donations from locals and support from
various public bodies. It was opened by Provost Margaret Riddell on

| A typical panoramic border landscape photograph
taken from near Kirkton looking towards Whiteacres. Hawick is nestled
in the valley just beyond the horizon. |
 |
| Not every panoramic photograph is created in
landscape format. This colourful scene was made from three vertical
images stitched together, the top part - sky, the middle section then
the bottom section featuring the boat. The finished photograph is a
very large digital file offering superb quality at two or even
three feet square. |
